I just "found out" about these recently. They are, to me, a cool looking car of a body style you rarely see in the US. This one in particular has had recent mechanical refreshing throughout so it would be a good candidate for a US import i would think.

Probably best to stay away from Diana's stuff. Or else you'll die in a tunnel.

We need more of these and Capris in the US, was trying to find a car for a UK friend on another forum and saw this sorted one. Only one this nice at a lower price I found. Want to join Torch? lol.

There are a few in the US, I know of at least on in Florida and a few in California, maybe a handful of others. One of my favorite British GT cars. Actually, doesn't Jason Torchinsky own one, or at least did at one point?

Its a Top Gear joke. Anne was a big fan of Scimitars and owned several of them in the 70s and 80s, may still have one, actually. As one of the more famous owners, it became very common to drop her name whenever discussing Scimitars. It's basically the only fact about them that non-car people are likely to know. Jeremy Clarkson declared that "Princess Anne had one" is a mandatory phrase whenever talking about a Scimitar and it became kind of a meme.

i'm sure any mass produced over 25 y/o car is in the US in some numbers. Someone where I work has two classic imported minis.
